Farming fun...

Our trip to Janna and Kerry Williams Produce Farm
Brewster, MN
Shooter rode in the camper on the way to MN (and home again).  He laid on the couch and looked out the window watching the world go by.  We stopped frequently and Daddy fed him water.

We camped overnight in the Walmart parking lot.  Was nice to split the trip...good for the kiddos and Shooter!  Worked out really well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Walking Shooter before heading out on the road again.

Mason was very concerned about his tractor.  He was also very disgruntled that he could not drive it in the parking lot...  imagine the mess that would have been!!!  :)

Janna's have 2 dogs (Tippers and Maggie) and a very preggo kitty cat who I refer to as "Mama Kitty".

Shooter spent his days trying to convince the other dogs to play, chewing on sticks, and teasing the chickens.  He loved to chew on watermelon and musk melons skins.

We spent some time at the markets with them.  FUN!  Shawn loved it!  He counted change and learned about the different kinds of squash.

Shawn and Isaac selling at the market.

We learned some about chickens.  We collected eggs and tried to get over how gross their feet are.  We also learned about the bees Kerry keeps and learned how honey is made and marketed.  The endearment, "honey" is not quite the same anymore...  Honey is actually bee vomit!!!  Yikes!
Shooter got to go swimming for the first time ever.  He loved it!!!  He swam and fetched sticks until he lost his breath.

A very handsome Mr Shooter Behm.
We were lucky enough to spend some time with Grandma deBoer.  Her 91st birthday was close (25th Aug) so we celebrated after mtg on Sun.

A quick trip to SD to see Grandma Krisher, and see the Falls Park.  Water was very low there... but still pretty!  Grandma is doing well.  It was the first time we got to see her new appt, and have seen her since Grandpa died.  She was a bit teary at times, but you can tell she is coping OK.

The Sonshines at the Falls Park.

Watching the train go over top of the falls.

The Sonshines humored me and let me take some pics of them...

Strolling thru the produce fields...
All 3 Sonshines...

We stopped at a Mennonite Produce auction were Laura did the bidding for extra produce for them to sell.

All their tractors have had the rubber tires removed and have metal ones exchanged...  ???
Here is a hay rack of Mums getting ready to be auctioned off... a Mennonite house in the background with laundry drying, and a Mennonite man taking a cart of produce home on his bike.

Mama Kitty was still very preggo when we left...  I wonder if there are any babies yet...
