Fishing with Jake...

For Mother's Day on the Behm side we went fishing with Nana and Papa down by their dock in Fremont.  I really enjoyed fishing...it was the first time I really learned how to cast.  Shawn fished quite a bit.  Mason was more concerned about why Jake did not get out of the truck.

Jake is old and sore.  He had a swollen leg so preferred to lay low... much to Mason's dismay!  Mason and Jake have been buds.  Jake was tolerant of Mason which was wonderful. 

Well, that was the last day we seen Jake.  Jake had to be put down a few days later due to many health issues.  Papa Bear Behm has been heart broken, which in turn breaks our hearts.  Mason can learn to love another dog, and will only remember Jake through pictures.  While Papa's heart will have a hole for a long time. 



Gift we gave Papa to remember Jake... garden rock.

 



Come on Jake!  Lets go...  play with me!?!?! 


The fishing was fun but we left empty bucketed.  Good thing we had hamburgers because there sure wasn't any fish :(
