I am feeling so content right now... It is 0330 in the morning and I am the only one awake. My batteries are slowly charging from the hectic week. To one side of me my endlessly supportive hubby is snoring softly. In my arms my baby is now back to sleep breathing softly and deeply. I feel his breath on my cheek. I am snuggling him and he is snuggling his sippi. From up stairs I can hear bits and pieces of Tom Pease songs drifting through the house. Shawn is talking in his sleep, I hear him rollover and thump the wall... and I smile :) As I relax on my favorite pillow that I've had since childhood I have such a prayer of thankfulness going through my head.
The laundry baskets are full, the sinks are dirty... But I know the bills are paid, the house is warm, there is a bible on the desk and contentment fills my heart. I love my little family!
Home is where your family sleeps! Have a great weekend everybody!

There is nothing that can compare with the contentment of motherhood, is there? I am enjoying a quiet house for another hour before the excitement breaks lose again...and memories are made right along with it!
awww!! i get that feeling during our night feedings... just me and the baby, the rest of the house quiet and blissful. oh, and we love tom pease here too!! next time he's in the area, we should take the kids to see him- he's a blast!! :)
